RICH VIDEO CONTENT AND USER ENGAGEMENT AIDS ANTI-OBESITY CAMPAIGN

 

CHALLENGE

The California Center for Public Health Advocacy needed a new website to drive their campaign to increase public awareness of health consequences of sugary drinks and provide a counterpoint to the heavy corporate advertising and marketing.  The site needed to be engaging, impactful, and appeal to both the old and young.

SOLUTION

Drupal was chosen as the site framework to allow for a robust content management system along with the flexibility for custom programming for the video and image gallery. To engage site visitors, a “submit your story” campaign was developed to allow the general public to submit photos and anecdotes. A robust document repository was set up with the ability to search by various criteria to support public health professionals.
